T. RAD is a company specialising in heat exchanger. Heat is generated when energy is used and so heat exchange technology is required to control it. Heat exchangers controls the temperature of the machinery and converts it into other energy forms by reducing the CO2 emitted during the process. Thus, it contributes in the prevention of Global Warming.
Client’s Challenges
T.RAD is committed to contribute in Global Warming while controlling the temperature of the Heat Exchangers. However, the following challenges were faced in the process.
- It is necessary to migrate from their Legacy system into the advanced technology for that Domain knowledge is required which decides when to migrate and which data needs to be migrated.
- It is necessary to understand which data set needs to be migrated and which needs to be entered manually.
- Expertise is required in understanding the code, resources of the new integrated system. It is necessary to understand how the system is designed.
- Resources need to be trained so that they are able to use the new system efficiently.
Solution Implemented
ThinkSmart arrived at the solution to help T.RAD in migrating its Legacycontent efficiently into the new system by offering the solution such as:
- Analyzing the legacy system using suitable real-life cases. By this they understood the system and got clarity on what needs to be migrated. It was done by interviewing the SMEs involved.
- RDBMS approach was maintained by maintaining the original results for this it was necessary to understand the existing functionality and its behavior.
- Technology wise experts were assigned to ensure side by side verification of the old and new results by working with real life cases.
- Agile methodology was implemented by acquiring feedback through frequent demos. This ensured value added service in lesser time.
